Carmelites elect new Prior Provincial

Fr. Carl Markelz, O.Carm., at Friday's closing Mass of the Chapter.

We welcome V. Rev Carl Markelz, O. Carm., newly elected Prior Provincial of the Most Pure Heart of Mary of the Order of Carmelites during the Provincial Chapter meeting June 20-24, 2011 here in Darien. Fr. Markelz comes to us from his prior post as principal of Mount Carmel High School in Chicago.

    I am in the process of rendiag Story Of A Soul,and it one of the most beautiful books I have ever read.I am not Catholic,but all three of my grandchildren are.As a matter of fact,my grandaughter is a Carmelite nun in St. Louis.Her name is Sister Carmen Fidelis.My sister is very ill-in I.C.U.
